Who We Are:
Freshwater is a life-transforming Church in Kitchener Waterloo, Ontario Canada. We have a vision to reach people in our region and beyond with the message of satisfaction in Jesus Christ; so that those who are tired and thirsty will become strong and satisfied with the life of Christ
Our Name:
."FreshWater" means "HolySpirit" (Ezekiel 47, John 7, John 9 & Rev 22).
What We Do:
💟We are doing something about world hunger:
💟We preach Christ: crucified, buried, resurrected and glorified
💟We preach the gospel to the poor and recovery of sight to the blind
💟We preach deliverance to the captives and healing to the brokenhearted
💟We preach freedom to those who grieve and are crushed by tragedies
💟We preach repentance, forgiveness and restoration to those who have strayed from the Father and are looking for way back home
💟We preach salvation to those who are tired and thirsty so that they will become strong and satisfied with the life of Christ
💟We preach the word of God and demonstrate the power of the Spirit***
💟We build faith, inspire hope and spread the love of God
💟We fast, pray, minister to God and partake of the Lord's Table
💟We testify of the blood covenant of the Lamb of God
What We Believe:
➡️We believe in God the Father and Creator of heaven and earth (Gen 1, Psalm 24, John 1, Heb 1)
➡️We believe in Jesus the Son and Saviour of the world; He was God who put on flesh, died and rose again to life (Matt 1, John 1, John 3)
➡️We believe in Holy Spirit the God on earth today; He is the teacher of truth and revealer of the secrets things of God (John14, John 16, Acts 2)
➡️We believe that man was created in the likeness and image of God; but through disobedience, man fell short of the glory of God (Gen 1, 3, Rom 3 Heb 2)
➡️We believe that every man is born blind into a dead sea call earth; that until a man is born again he cannot see or enter real life (Ezek 47, John9)
➡️We believe that through His death on the cross, Jesus paid in full for the redemption of man from sin and all its consequences (John 19, Col 1, 2)
➡️We believe that the Holy Spirit is the author of salvation who prompts man to repent and enables believers to witness for Jesus (Acts 1, 2, 8, 13)
➡️We believe that the Spirit-inspired Word of God is the standard of truth and final authority in all matters of Christian living (John 1 Heb 1 John14)
➡️We believe that the New Birth is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ; and that righteousness is a free gift (Eph 2, 1Cor4, Isaiah6, Phil 3)
➡️We believe in the ancient landmarks of Fasting, Prayer, ministry of the Word of God, and Communion (Matt 5, 6, 17, 26)
➡️We Believe in nation transformation through acts of love, community service, education and healing (Acts 1, 3, James 2, 1John3)
➡️We believe that Jesus is preparing His church for the place He has prepared and will return to take the saints home (John 14, 1Thess4, Rev 22, 1John2)
What We See:
We see cities and nations transformed from tired and thirsty to strong and satisfied with life in Christ through the message of faith, hope and love of God. See our Pillars of the House
Where We Began & Where We Go:
The vision of Freshwater began as a seed in the heart of Pastor Peter Okaka after word encounter. We started out with two families (6 people) meeting for prayer and vision casting in the living the room.
The vision is increasing becoming "our vision" as the church continues to impact lives in our community. As God continue to gives us grace, we look forward to many more stories of positive transformation in future.
